4 Tips for Back to School Balance

Happy Back to School to our Happy Hungry Journey Girls!
This is one of the most exciting times of the year! You’ll get to reunite with old friends and swap stories of the summer’s adventures. You’ll make new friends and meet new teachers, too. Between all this socializing, new school subjects, and new sports teams, it’s typical to feel a little over-scheduled. Here are our top tips for staying happy, healthy, and balanced during BTS time!
1. PACK HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS SNACKS
It’s hard to focus if your tummy is grumbling, especially between the end of the school day and your after school activities. Remember that healthy also means delicious! Check out our recipe for our super-portable Green Tea Matcha Donuts with Peanut Butter Glaze. You won’t believe how easy it is! It takes about 20 minutes to make. 2. SAY YES TO NEW EXPERIENCES
Now is the time to try new things, like hosting your first yoga brunch with Happy Hungry Journey or something as simple as trying a new food! Think about a new sport, instrument, or club at school that you’ve always wanted to try, but you never get around to it. What do you want to challenge yourself to try for the first time?
3. MAKE TIME FOR FRIENDS
Giggling, picnicking, and spending time with your squad will keep you energized and feeling excited about the rhythm of the new school year. Cherish this time together and set the example of how to be a supportive friend as you encourage your girls in their pursuits.
4. DON’T FORGET SOME ALONE TIME
Do you enjoy yoga, meditation, or journaling? Sometimes it feels hard to carve out time for these self-care practices when things are so busy, but that’s the time when you need it the most. Even 5 minutes of journaling or sitting with your eyes closed can help you to feel re-energized!
